Smartphones, Tablets, Notebooks, “Phablets” –
Are they all geek to you?

After a record crowd last year, Stacy Allegro, aka “Technorella” returns to demystify the new hot trend of phablets—the combination of smartphones with tablets (considered mini computers) for the May 20 General Meeting, 7 p.m. at the San Rafael Sheraton Four Points Hotel. With tablets and smart phones drawing closer to each another, how close are they to desktop or laptop computers? Can either replace traditional computers, or are they different altogether?

Stacy will review the basics of smartphone features and then tell us about the new phablets/gadget world, how they work, and whether they work together.

Stacy, a technology speaker, writer, and mediocre golfer writes a popular blog, Technorella, which helps people overcome technology hurdles and inspires them to embrace their gadgets. She is a keynote speaker and has been a guest on popular radio and podcast shows. She is a regular guest lecturer on Technology at USF and other universities. She considers herself a “futurist.”

We had a huge turnout last time Stacy was our General Meeting presenter.
